A linguistic expedition

We discover & introduce: Wuppertal and the Bergisches Land

Between old buildings with a Parisian flair and buildings with a brutalist look, we collect fragments of words and thereby rediscover our Wuppertal (which is actually familiar to us) in a special way again and again. We sometimes joke about the one or other words, expressions and phrases that we encounter on our way. Without even noticing how they secretly and from time to time integrate themselves into our own language use.

Heimatjefühl To–Go

Handmade screenprints from Wuppertal — local, vegan & handmade

"Wuppertal Original" is a sustainable, local brand in and from Wuppertal. For our joint cooperation project, we worked closely together to design the "Heimatjefühl" collection. For this we developed our own font — the HappyTal font. Furthermore, we integrated collected exclamations, expressions and text fragments related to Wuppertal and the Bergisches Land in our wording.

HappyTal–Font

A font with character. Handmade, personal, playful & also concrete.

It is not only the buildings that distinguish Wuppertal as a city. Wuppertal is characterized by many impressions that we encounter, for example, on the streets: Details, contrasts, the perspectives by looking up & down, the colorfulness of the facades, the many manufactures, the appearance of graffiti & street art elements. Our HappyTal font gives the Heimatjefühl project its own signature.
